CENTRAL AND EASTERN EUROPE

The prevalence of many diseases is significantly higher in Central and Eastern European countries than in most Western nations. The medical systems in CEE nations remain highly centralized, so nearly all patients are referred to the major centers located in their largest cities. As a result, the per-investigator, patient population can far exceed that found in equivalent medical centers in the United States.

Pharm-Olam has established offices throughout the capitals of Central and Eastern Europe, where patients are generally more compliant and trials costs less to perform than Western nations.

Additionally, many of our CEE investigators are the heads of their departments and are personally involved in the studies conducted at their institution, unlike many centers in the United States.

These factors allow Pharm-Olam to conduct rapid enrollment of qualified patients—often at an enrollment rate several times higher than that of the United States. The data gathered from CEE trials are of high quality and are accepted by the FDA, EMEA, and other regulatory agencies.
